Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
With either eight years in uniform or 25 years in the front office the requirement, MLB first issued lifetime passes in 1907 to dignitaries such as President Theodore Roosevelt. Players began to receive the honour in 1935, and we offer the lifetime pass originally presented to two-time World Series champion and HOF pitcher Bob Gibson. Gold coloured metal alloy pass is the size of a credit card, with access listed to both American and National League games. "Bob Gibson" is engraved, with facsimile signatures of Warren Giles (NL President) and Joe Cronin (AL President). The pass remains in gorgeous overall condition, with some minor discolouration to the reverse.
