Playing the entirety of his junior hockey career with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, Andrew Desjardins would be signed as a free agent by the San Jose Sharks in June of 2010 and went on to play a total of 408 games in the National Hockey League with both San Jose and the Chicago Blackhawks, helping Chicago to a Stanley Cup championship in 2015. Also experiencing time overseas in both Germany and Austria, offered here is this San Jose Sharks jersey worn by Desjardins during the 2010-11 season, his first in the NHL. Made by Reebok, a lone size "58" label is affixed to the inner collar while an affixed team tag from the team store lists that jersey as being worn between March 27th and April 10th. Sporting the crests of both the NHL and Reebok over the front and reverse necklines respectively, the front of the jersey is styled with a Sharks team crest that displays with embroidered details while the left sleeve has been accented with the Sharks' 20th Anniversary crest. Accented over the front, sleeves and verso with Desjardins' number "69" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Desjardins" is spelt out in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill letters across the affixed nameplate at the top of the reverse. Having had a Sharks team tag sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey retains its original fight strap and shows game-wear via board burns over both sleeves and a few fabric snags of various size throughout as well as a shallow cut through the material of the "9" on the reverse.
