Established as the Detroit Cougars in 1926 before rebranding as the Falcons for a couple of seasons, "Hockeytown" finally settled on the "Red Wings" as their team name beginning with the 1932-33 season, with the club going on to enjoy a rich history up to this point that has included eleven (11) Stanley Cup championships and over sixty (60+) players who that have donned their famed red and white colours that have then gone on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Soon to hit their 100th birthday, offered here is this collection of Red Wings memorabilia, with each piece having been signed by one (1) or more of the team's many legends. Including a trio of signed pucks that includes single signed examples from Sid Abel (light smudging - silver ink - "H.O.F. 1979" inscription) and Ted Lindsay (light smudging - silver ink) plus a multi-signed biscuit that sports the signatures of Ted Lindsay, Gordie Howe and Alex Delvecchio (minor wear - gold ink), additional small autographed items present in the lot include a Howe commemorative plate (serial numbered "759/2421" - gold ink signature that displays without issue) that comes with its original box and COA, a plaque measuring 10 1/2" x 13" that features a photo of Howe that has been signed by him with a blue marker ink signature and inscribed with "Best Always" in matching ink, a framed double matted 11" x 14" photo that has been signed by Red Kelly with a blue marker ink signature that displays without issue (the frame shows just a bit of light wear to the edges and corners), single signed photos of Howe (faded signature), Lindsay and Abel and finally, a dual signed photo of both Howe and Johnny Bowe that has been signed by both men with red and blue marker ink signatures respectively. Finally, the lot is concluded with a full sized Titan TSM35 stick that has been signed over the blade on the forehand side by the likes of Howe plus Frank Mahovlich and Jean Beliveau and an 22" x 28 1/2" poster print of Alex Delvecchio titled "The Dressing Room" that has been signed by him along the bottom with a faded thin blue marker ink signature while the piece itself shows light wear to the corners and edges as well as a bit of staining/residue in three (3) of the four (4) corners. With the collection accompanied by a JSA Auction LOA, all the items in the collection remain in overall excellent condition with just light handling wear unless otherwise noted above with the same going for the conditions of the included autographs as well.
