Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Put together for the first time during the 1943-44 season by head coach Dick Irvin, the trio of Maurice Richard, Elmer Lach and Toe Blake would become known as "The Punch Line" and dominate the National Hockey League for four (4) seasons, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a pair of Stanley Cup championships and finishing the 1944-45 season first (1st), second (2nd) and third (3rd) in league scoring. Offered here, and hailing from In The Game's 2010 President's Choice Collection release, is this "Triple Vintage Memorabilia" card that profiles all three (3) superstars. Featuring black-and-white images of all three (3) players over the front, leather swatches cut from skates worn by each player have been embedded into the front of the card underneath their image. Found in its original raw and ungraded form, the card presents in overall excellent condition with just light wear observed to the edges and corners that is worth pointing out for accuracy.
