Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Recognized as the sport’s premier broadcaster and serving as Hockey Night in Canada’s first play-by-play announcer, Canadian icon Foster Hewitt was part of the opening night ceremonies for Maple Leaf Gardens in 1931, and covered NHL contests for forty years. This document has been signed by the HOFer. On Maple Leaf Gardens letterhead and dated December of 1938, the document appears to be an expense report for hockey tickets, with Hewitt signing in pencil, with the flawless and bold signature completely dark. There is a faint fold line to the document, with staple holes to the top left corner.
