A product of the Trois-Rivieres Draveurs in the QMJHL who helped them to consecutive President's Cup championships in 1978 and 1979, Normand Rochefort would be drafted 24th overall by the Quebec Nordiques at the 1980 NHL Entry Draft and would go on to play a total of 598 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Quebec, New York and Tampa Bay, he was also a member of Team Canada at the 1987 Canada Cup. Offered here, we present this NHL All-Stars jersey worn by Rochefort in the second (2nd) game of the Rendez-Vous '87 series against the Soviet Union. Made by CCM, a Maska Air-Knit label is affixed to the inner collar which has had a size "54" designation penned to it in black ballpoint ink. Having had a pair of CCM logos embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a large NHL shield crest in a layered tackle twill style while single layer black tackle twill stars appear over the left and right breasts plus shoulders. Void of the usually seen Rendez-Vous '87 patch over the right sleeve, the left sleeve and verso have been styled with Rochefort's number "21" in dual layer orange-over-black tackle twill numerals. Having had "Rochefort" spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, the jersey retains its fight strap on the interior and shows game-wear via dark marks over the left sleeve, lower front and over the right sleeve while light pilling is present on the interior. For the photo-match, an image taken of Rochefort before the second (2nd) game of the series is matched to the loose threads coming off the numbers of the "2" and "1" of the left sleeve as well as the black star over the right breast and at the bottom of the front crest.
