Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Following in the great line of prominent superstar Montreal Canadiens goaltenders, Carey Price enjoyed fifteen seasons in a Habs uniform during his storied National Hockey League career, with numerous awards and accolades won including the Hart Memorial and Vezina trophies in 2014-15, a gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and a World Cup of Hockey championship in 2016. A surefire future Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, offered here is this stick used by Price during the 2010-11 season. A Reebok 11K model twig with "C. Price" stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains its original white cloth-over-white tape job around both the handle/knob and hand grip areas while white is wrapped around a portion of the blade as well. Having had a decal reading "10/11 Canadiens Auto COA NHL" affixed to the underside of the upper shaft, an NHL Alumni decal resides on the underside of the shaft as well down near the hand grip. Displaying light-to-moderate game-wear throughout its entirety, puck marks are present over both sides of the blade tape while additional puck marks are found over both sides of the untaped portions of the blade and paddle. Also sporting a dent caused by a shot at the top edge of the paddle and discoloration of the hand grip and knob tape, light amounts of red post paint transfer are present on the backside of the upper shaft as well.
