Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
The preferred weapon of choice by the man known as "The Great One" during the era that was the early-to-mid-1990s when he was making hockey an everyday topic in Los Angeles and other unconventional hockey markets, Wayne Gretzky would play a total of 539 games with the Kings over the course of eight (8) years and register 246 goals and 672 assists for a total of 918 points. Still holding or sharing fifty-eight (58) National Hockey League records, offered here is this Easton Aluminum "Wayne Gretzky Signature Model" stick that has been signed by Gretzky himself. Having never been taped and remaining in excellent condition overall with some light marks and abrasions from age and handling, the stick features a wooden insert at the top of the shaft and an inserted wooden blade at the bottom that displays a "Gretzky" name stamp over the stem. Having been signed by Gretzky over the forehand side of the blade with a black marker ink signature that displays well and without major issue other than some very light fading from age, a PSA sticker numbered "AN49155" is affixed to the blade alongside the signature and is accompanied by a matching PSA COA.
