One of the larger and more physical defenseman during the era at 6’4”, 225 pounds, Larry Robinson aggressively patrolled the Montreal Canadiens blueline for almost two decades before finishing out his storied 20-year National Hockey League career with a trio of seasons in the California sunshine with Wayne Gretzky as a member of the Los Angeles Kings. A product of the Kitchener Rangers who was drafted 20th overall by the Canadiens at the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft, "Big Bird" would win a total of six Stanley Cups as a player while also donning the maple leaf of Team Canada numerous times including at the Canada Cup. Returning to the ice of the Montreal Forum as part of the Canadiens alumni during the 1993 NHL All-Star Game festivities, offered here is this Habs jersey worn by Robinson during the Heroes of Hockey contest on February 5th, 1993. Made by CCM and sporting both size "54" and Maska "Ultrafil" labels affixed to the inner collar, the CCM logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem also. Decorated over the front of the bright red garment with Montreal's iconic "CH" crest that has been administered in layered tackle twill, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Robinson's number "19" in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill numerals while "Robinson" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Displaying the 1993 NHL All-Star Game crest over the left shoulder and Stanley Cup centennial patch over the right shoulder, the jersey has been signed through the front crest by Bobby Hull with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Retaining its original fight strap on the interior and showing game-wear via some marks over the front and right sleeve plus a small unrepaired cut above the left elbow, the jersey has been photo-matched to an image of Robinson taken before the game alongside Chris Chelios and Rick Green that shows a match to the placement of the white layer of the "9" on the right sleeve.
