Playing his junior hockey with the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and drafted 74th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Aaron Gavey would go on to play a total of 360 games in the National Hockey League over the course of his career, suiting up for the likes of Tampa Bay, Calgary, Dallas, Minnesota, Toronto and Anaheim. Offered here, we present this Minnesota Wild jersey worn by Gavey during the 2001-02 season. Made by Koho and displaying a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, a KOHO logo patch sits over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield is found embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Wild team crest that shows with embroidered details, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Gavey's number "44" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Gavey" is spelt out in single layer gold twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting matching alternate logo patches over both shoulders and a Wild team tag sewn inside the reverse hem that denotes it as being a "Set #3" offering from 2001-02, the jersey shows game-wear via things such as board burns, stick marks, small unrepaired holes and spot staining throughout. A matching Wild COA will accompany the piece.
