Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Playing his junior hockey with the QMJHL's St. Hyacinthe Lasers, Frederik Beaubien would be drafted 105th overall by the Los Angeles Kings at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and go on to a career that would see him compete in numerous minor-professional hockey leagues around North America including the IHL, ECHL, WCHL, WPHL, UHL and others. Offered here, we present this jersey worn by Beaubien as a member of the Alabama Slammers during the only season of WHA2 play in 2003-04. Made by OT Sports and void of any labeling affixed to the inner collar, the jersey measures out to roughly a size "58G" for its effort. Decorate over the front of the jersey with a Slammers team crest that features embroidered details throughout its entirety, matching alternate logo crests appear over both shoulders. With an OT Sports logo sublimated into the material at the back of the collar, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Beaubien’s number "34" in dual layer or tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Beaubien" is spelt out in single layer black glacier twill letters across the affixed matching arched nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior as well as a patch denoting it as a "2003-2004 Game-Worn Jersey" the jersey is accompanied by an LOA and shows game-wear via puck marks, staining, fabric snags, board burns, pilling, coloured board paint transfers and tons of red post paint transfers.
