A product of the QMJHL's Chicoutimi Saguenéens, Jimmy Waite would play a total of 106 games over the course of his National Hockey League career after being drafted 8th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Having played for the likes of Chicago, San Jose and Phoenix as well as numerous minor league and overseas teams, offered here is this Coyotes jersey worn by Waite during the 1997-98 season. A heavyweight knit garment made by Starter, brand/Center Ice Authentic Collection labeling along with a size "60-G" size swatch are sewn into the inner collar while both the Starter and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Coyotes team crest that features both textured and embroidered details throughout, both "Phoenix Coyotes" and "Goals For Kids" alternate logo patches that are both of similar design have been placed over both shoulders. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Waite's number "28" in dual layer maroon-over-green tackle twill numerals, "Waite" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Having had a Coyotes team tag denoting the jersey as being an "Official 1998 Game Worn Jersey" sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey shows game-use via puck marks over the front and left sleeve as well as pilling at the end of each cuff and hem, the jersey also shows heavy staining throughout as well as a few fabric snags while minor pilling is present on the interior also. A Coyotes LOA and MeiGray COR will accompany the piece.
