A veteran of 161 NHL games during his career after being drafted 62nd overall by the New York Islanders at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Anders Nilsson would wear the colours of New York, Edmonton, St. Louis, Buffalo, Vancouver and Ottawa during his time in the league, retiring after being traded to the Tampa Bay Lighting in December of 2020. A two-time IIHF World Championship with Team Sweden, offered here is this Islanders jersey issued to Nilsson for use during the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Made by Reebok and sporting both "Goalie Style" and size "58+" labeling affixed to the inner collar, the crests of both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a familiar Islanders team crest the features embroidered details, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Nilsson's number "45" in dual layer white-over-orange tackle twill numerals while "Nilsson" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior as well as an Islanders team tag numbered "444053", Nilsson has signed the jersey through the middle of the "5" on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Issued to but never worn, the jersey remains in good condition with just some spot staining and marks over the sleeves that are worth noting for accuracy. A matching Islanders LOA will accompany the piece.
