Marking the first time that Topps released their entire yearly baseball release in its entirety as compared to several series throughout the season as a way to prevent late season competition with their football set, the 1974 Topps baseball release held consistent at 660 cards, the same amount found in the 1973 set before it. Up for grabs here and hailing from the year the Oakland A’s won their third straight World Series crown, is this complete set of Topps' 1974 baseball release. All housed in older nine (9) pocket binder pages and appearing to be in the overall condition range of EX-MT throughout its entirety, all the checklists are found to be in their original unmarked state while the star cards found throughout the assembly are seen as being in a condition that is consistent with the rest of the set. Also including a total of five (5) Hank Aaron Tribute cards, the key cards include those of 1-Aaron (G to VG - corner and surface wear), 10-Bench (EX to EX-MT - light wax stain on the reverse), 20-Ryan (EX-MT to NM), 80-Seaver (EX to EX-MT - light border wear), 95-Carlton (EX-MT to NM), 105-Fisk (G to VG - light crease and corner wear), 130-Jackson (EX to EX-MT - slight border wear), 207-Ryan/Seaver (EX-MT to NM - Strikeout Leaders), 215-Kaline (VG to VG-EX - dings to the bottom right corner and right border), 250-McCovey (VG-EX to EX - off-center and diamond cut - surface bubble), 252-Parker RC (EX to EX-MT - light border wear), 283-Schmidt (EX-MT - 1st solo card - small surface bubble), 300-Rose (EX-MT to NM - off-center), 340-Munson (EX-MT to NM) and 456-Winfield RC (EX-MT to NM - off-center). A fun trip down memory lane with the boys of summer from yesteryear, don’t let this classic collection featuring many important names pass you and your all-import collection by!
