Spending the entirety of his junior hockey career in the WHL as a member of the Red Deer Rebels, Boyd Gordon would be drafted 17th overall by the Washington Capitals at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and go on to play a total of 706 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Washington, Arizona, Edmonton and Philadelphia. A member of Team Canada at the 2003 IIHF World Junior Championships, helping the squad to a silver medal, offered here is this Team Canada jersey worn by Gordon at the tournament. Made by Nike, a brand label displaying a size "56" designation is affixed to the inner collar above sewn in "IIHF Authentic Collection" and "Made in Canada" tags as well. Sporting Nike Swoosh logos over the reverse neckline and right breast, an IIHF logo patch is seen over the reverse hem also. Decorated over the front with a Team Canada heritage style crest in layered tackle twill which has had "Canada" spelt out along the bottom of it in single layer black twill letters, matching Hockey Canada emblems have been placed atop of both shoulders. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Gordon's number "27" in white twill numerals that are outlined in black, "Gordon" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining a fight strap on the interior and signed by Gordon through the "2" on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves while light pilling exists on the interior.
