Regarded as one of the most memorable hockey sets that Topps ever put out and headlined by the key rookie card of "The Golden Jet", Bobby Hull, the company's 1958-59 release featured a checklist that consisted of 66-cards that feature the images of players from the four (4) American based National Hockey League teams. Found here in near-complete set form, is this assembly of Topps' desirable 1958-59 hockey release. Missing card #5 of Dollard St. Laurent for completion, the contingent's key rookie card of Bobby Hull, found at #66 in the checklist, is found to be in the overall condition range of PR to F. For the rest of the key, found to be in the overall condition vicinity of G to VG throughout with about five (5) to six (6) cards a bit worse off and presenting in the neighborhood of FR to G, the key cards that are present include those of 2-Sawchuk (GOOD - surface scratches and tiny creases), 8-Howe (FR to G - large crease), 10-Regan RC (GOOD - creased), 13-Hall (GOOD - tiny tape mark over the top left), 21-Bathgate (FR to G - multiple creases), 30-Shack RC (VG to VG-EX - corner wear), 36-Pilote (G to VG - off-center, tiny crease and corner wear/dings), 39-Worsley (FR to G - large crease), 40-Bucyk (FR to G - large crease at bottom right), 52-Delvecchio (G to VG - corners and a light bend at the left side), 61-Kelly (VG - corner wear) and 65-Ullman (FR to G - multiple small creases). A splendid group of Original Six era cardboard, don't miss out on these!
