The Red Wings joined the Canadiens and Maple Leafs in the Parkhurst lineup for the 1960-61 campaign, a year that saw the Chicago Black Hawks hoist Lord Stanley's Cup at season's end. The first full season to be played in the last decade to feature the Original Six era before expansion, offered here is this near-complete assembly of Parkhurst's 1960-61 season. Including fifty-seven (57) of the sixty-one (61) cards that are found within the checklist and make up a complete set, the group is missing only those of 56, 57, 58 and 59, all in action cards, for completion. Getting into the meat and potatoes of the set with a group of eleven (11) better cards that includes the likes 1-Horton (VG to VG-EX - corner wear), 2-Mahovlich (G to VG - tiny crease at left border), 3-Bower (VG-EX to EX - slight corner wear), 20-Howe (GOOD - crease at top right corner), 31-Sawchuk (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear), 45-M. Richard (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear and small ding at the top left), 47-H. Richard (VG to VG-EX - small scratch at the bottom left), 48-Harvey (G to VG - tiny spot of paper loss at the bottom left), 49-Beliveau (VG to VG-EX - wax stains), 53-Plante (VG-EX to EX - slight corner wear) and 61-Morrisson (GOOD - small crease). For the rest of the set, a pair (2) of cards present around EX, twenty-eight (28) cards are in the range of VG-EX to EX, eleven (11) cards are in the vicinity of G to VG and finally, five (5) cards are found to be in the neighborhood of FR to G.
