Playing the entirety of his junior hockey career in the green, navy and white colours of the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers, Gino Pisellini would be drafted 149th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and play a total of eighty-nine (89) professional games in the Flyers organization in both the AHL and ECHL between the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. Offered here, we present this Whalers jersey worn by Pisellini during his final OHL season of 2005-06. Made by Reebok and sporting both Reebok/CHL and size "56" labels affixed to the inner collar, a date of "3-5-06" is penned over the Reebok label in black marker ink, indicating that the jersey was worn during that night's contest against the Soo Greyhounds. Displaying Reebok patches over the reverse neckline and left breast, an OHL crest has been added over the right breast and the logo of the Canadian Hockey League has been embroidered into the reverse hem. A classic tie-neck style garment decorated over the front with "Whalers" going diagonally down the chest in dual layer white-over-navy tackle twill letters, matching Whalers alternate logo emblems reside atop both shoulders and the distinguished alternate captain's "A" is in place over the left breast also. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Pisellini's number "24" in dual layer white-over-navy tackle twill letters, "Pisellini" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining a customized shortened fight strap on the interior, the jersey, likely worn for just a single game, remains in overall excellent condition with just a couple of small and light marks/stains over the lower front.
