The first ever draft choice by the Colorado Avalanche, being taken by the recently minted club at 25th overall at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Marc Denis would go on to play a total of 349 games in the National Hockey League over the course of his career, suiting up with the likes of Colorado, Columbus, Tampa Bay and Montreal during that time. Named the CHL Goaltender of the Year in 1997 and hoisting a Calder Cup the same year, Denis also represented Team Canada on a few occasions, winning gold at the World Junior Championships in 1996 and 1997 as well as World Championship gold in 2004. Offered here, we present this jersey worn by Denis during the 2005-06 season as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Actually a CCM made offering from a previous season that was rebranded as a Reebok, "Goalie Style" and size "58" labels are affixed to the inner collar while a swatch of fabric that has had a Reebok logo patch added to it has been placed over the reverse neckline atop of the still in place CCM logo patch. Also having had an NHL shield patch sewn on over the original embroidered NHL shield emblem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Blue Jackets team crest that features both textured and embroidered details throughout while differing alternate logo patches have been added over the shoulders. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Denis' number "30" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Denis" is spelt out in single layer navy twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate that is in place across the top of the reverse. Riddled with good game-wear throughout with the possibility of it having been worn in multiple seasons apparent, puck marks are present over the sleeves and lower front while unrepaired cuts are observed over the right sleeve and front as well. Also showing heavy pilling over the sleeves, pilling and front hem, there is light sweat staining and post paint transfer over both of the elbows and salting in the snaps of the fight strap. Also showing good pilling on the interior of the jersey as well as a Blue Jackets "2005-2006 Set #1" stamp inside the reverse hem, a Blue Jackets COA will accompany the piece.
