A member of the International Ice Hockey Federation since January 24th, 1924, the Italian Ice Hockey Federation boasts a total player count of over 5100 as of its writing, with its Men's National Team sitting 20th in the world rankings and its Women's National Team coming in at 19th. With a total of seventy-four (74) rinks in the entire country (sixty-one indoors and thirteen outdoors), offered here is this Team Italy game-worn jersey that dates to the early-2000s. Made by Nike and sporting a brand label that includes a size "52" designation affixed to the inner collar, an additional "IIHF Authentic Collection" tag is found below it while an IIHF logo patch has been placed over the reverse hem. Utilized in numerous tournaments and exhibition matches between 2000 and 2003, the front of the jersey has been decorated with an Italian Federation team crest that features embroidered details while a Nike swoosh logo appears over the right breast. Also displaying green, white and red accent striping down the front and both sleeves, some of the stitching has let go causing the stripes to come up from the material of the jersey itself. With an additional Nike logo over the reverse neckline, the sleeves and verso have been styled with the number "12" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while the nameplate has long since been removed from the upper reverse. Having had Torino 2006 Olympic patches added over both shoulders, the jersey displays heavy game-wear throughout via things such as stick marks, board burns, coloured board paint transfers, team repairs, unrepaired cuts/holes, pilling/fabric snags and minor stains.
