The 80th NHL season of the New York Rangers, the Blueshirts met and defeated the Atlanta Thrashers in four straight games in the first round of the 2006-07 Stanley Cup playoffs before falling to the Buffalo Sabres. The following season, in 2007-08, the Rangers defeated New Jersey in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, losing just a single game, then lost to Pittsburgh in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. This lot contains four goals pucks scored by Rangers players during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 NHL seasons, with each mounted to a display plaque. The plaques have goal pucks from Michael Nylander (2), including May 6, 2007 vs Buffalo, Round 2 Game #6, assisted by Straka and Rozsival, and Nov, 19, 2006 vs Lightning, assisted by Shanahan and Straka. This is followed by goals scored by Brandon Dubinsky (COA), Jan 20, 2008 vs Boston, assisted by Nigel Dawes and Petr Prucha, and Marcel Hossa, Nov 21, 2006 vs Carolina, assisted by Fedor Tyutin. Each wooden plaques shows wear and is approx 12" x 15", with a small gold coloured plate listing the particulars along with a photo of the player scoring the goal. Each Rangers puck also has the goal information handwritten along the side. We should also note that each puck is held in a plastic case with a screw that is not affecting the pucks, with each removable.
