Featuring a 51-card checklist that includes players from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens, the 1961-62 Parkhurst set is often regarded by collectors as the release that signaled the beginning of the end for the company’s hockey releases. Found here in complete set form, offered here is this complete set of Parkhurst's 1961-62 hockey card release that pictures players from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings. Found largely to be in the condition ranges of VG to VG-EX and VG-EX to EX for their efforts with some lower grade examples spread throughout the checklist as well, the key cards include those of 1-Horton (G to VG - light crease and top left corner damage), 2-Mahovlich (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear), 3-Bower (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear), 5-Keon (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear), 7-Shack (G to VG - two small creases), 20-Howe (VG-EX to EX - slight corner wear), 26-Ullman (VG-EX to EX - slight corner wear), 31-Sawchuk (EX) 35-Geoffrion (G to VG - tiny crease at the bottom left), 43-Richard (EX), 45-Beliveau (GOOD - crease that shows more on the reverse) and 49-Plante (VG to VG-EX - border ding). For the rest of the set, twelve (12) cards are seen as being in the scope of VG-EX to EX condition, sixteen (16) cards are found to be around VG to VG-EX, three (3) cards are found in the neighborhood of G to VG, seven (7) cards present in the vicinity of FR to G and finally, one (1) card shows around PR to F.
