Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025

Finishing in first place overall one point ahead of Bobby Hull and the Chicago Black Hawks at the conclusion of the 1962-63 NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs would defeat Montreal in the semis and Detroit in the Stanley Cup final all while losing only two playoff contests. This would be the Leafs second of three consecutive championships. We offer a stick team-signed by the Stanley Cup champion 1962-63 Toronto Maple Leafs. Made by the Leafs' team supplier Doug Laurie, the full-size "Special" model stick has been signed by approx 20 in ballpoint on one side of the shaft including HOFers Horton (gorgeous example), Kelly, Mahovlich, Keon, Pulford, Bower, Armstrong, Duff, Stanley and Arbour, along with Haggert, Hillman, Harris, Simmons, Litzenberger, Baun, Shack, Stewart, Douglas and Nevin. Most of the signatures display well, with a few somewhat light with the stick also being covered in a light shellac to preserve the signatures. We should also note that the Bower, Baun and Douglas appear to have been traced over by an unknown hand. On the reverse shaft, there are decals with the players names positioned roughly where the signature corresponds on the opposite side of the shaft. There is also a decal with "1962-63 Maple Leafs" on the lower shaft.
