Playing three (3) seasons with his hometown Grums IK before moving on to the top flight Västra Frölunda IF between 1970 and 1975, Willy Lindstrom would make his North American debut in the World Hockey Association as a member of the Winnipeg Jets in 1975, winning a trio of AVCO World Cups over a four (4) year span. Transitioning into the National Hockey League with the Jets for the 1979-80 season and going on to play a total of 582 NHL games with the likes of Winnipeg, Edmonton and Pittsburgh, winning Stanley Cups with the Oilers in 1984 and 1985, Lindstrom would return home to Sweden in 1987 and play three (3) seasons with Brynas IF in the SHL to close out his career. Offered here, we present this Brynas IF jersey worn by Lindstrom while serving as Brynas' captain in the late-1980s circa either the 1988-89 or 1989-90 season of play. A lightweight mesh construction offering made by Tibas with knit inserts over the shoulders, brand and size "6" labels are affixed inside the left hip seam while a Tibas logo has been heat-screened over the left side of the lower front as well. Decorated over the front with a sublimated and sewn on Brynas IF team crest, a swatch of red fabric displaying a heat-screened on captain's "C" has been added over the left breast. Also sporting various heat-screened on sponsorship logos over the collar bones, lower front, lower front and both sides of the collar, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Lindstrom's number "29" in heat-screened on dual layer white-over-black drop-shadow tackle twill numerals. Displaying "Lindstrom" spelt out in single layer white heat-screened letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the lower reverse, the jersey displays good game-wear in the form of stick marks over the front and both sleeves while numerous board burns, coloured board paint transfers and unrepaired holes are observed over both sleeves as well. Displaying just very light pilling on the interior, the jersey hails from Lindstrom's personal collection and will be accompanied by his signed Letter of Authenticity.
