Drafted in the fifth round of the 1987 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, Mike Timlin would go on to an MLB career that spanned a total of nineteen (19) seasons with the likes of Toronto, Seattle, Baltimore, St. Louis, Philadelphia and Boston over that time. Playing on a total of four (4) World Series championship teams, winning crowns with the Blue Jays in 1992 and 1993 and Boston in 2004 and 2007, Timlin cemented himself in Blue Jays history as the man who recorded the final out of the 1992 World Series against the Atlanta Braves. Offered here, we present this Toronto road jersey worn by Timlin during the 1995 campaign. A button up garment made by Wilson, a brand label displaying a size "48" designation is affixed to the inner collar as well as a strip tag in the same material as the jersey itself that displays "40 95 2" for the player/year/set. Styled with "Toronto" arched across the chest in dual layer white-over-blue tackle twill letters, a Blue Jays team crest resides over the left side as well that features embroidered details throughout. Accented over the reverse of the jersey with Timlin's number "40" in numbers that match the ones in "Toronto" over the front, "Timlin" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters that have been arched across the top of the back and sewn directly to the material. Also sporting united blue and white striped cuffs at the end of each sleeve, the jersey displays just light signs of use via some light staining over the left sleeve, sweat staining around the collar, discoloration over the front and reverse hem line, a couple of small spot stains over the lower front and some light fabric rubbing.
