Drafted 2nd overall by the Toronto Blue Jays at the 1978 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, Lloyd Moseby would play ten (10) of his twelve (12) seasons in the Majors with the team that drafted him, winning a Silver Slugger Award in 1983 and earning an All-Star nod in 1986. Finishing in contention for the Most Valuable Player Award in 1983 and 1984, Moseby was part of the powerful "Killer B's" outfield trio for the Jays, playing center field between George Bell and Jesse Barfield. Returning to Toronto after his playing days and serving as the club's first base coach in 1998 and 1999, offered here is this Blue Jays "Canada Day" jersey donned by Moseby on July 1st, 1999 against the Baltimore Orioles at SkyDome. A retail replica offering made by Russell Athletic, a brand label displaying a size "XL" designation is affixed to the inner collar while a jock tag from the company has been added over the front left tail. Pretty much a carbon copy to Toronto's regular home jerseys except for the red piping accents around the sleeve cuffs and down the front on each side of the placket, the front of the jersey is decorated with "Blue Jays" across the chest in dual layer tackle twill letters while a Canadian flag patch sits over the left breast. Also having had a Blue Jays emblem added atop of the right sleeve, Moseby's number "16" appears over the reverse in matching style numerals while "Canada" appears above, replacing the usually seen last names, once again in matching style letters. Signed by Moseby at the top left of the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, a JSA sticker numbered "Z93080" is affixed over the jock tag on the front verifying its authenticity. Worn in just a single game, the jersey remains in overall excellent condition with just light wear observed via a mark over the lower front and reverse and around the left side of the collar as well as some marks over the numbers on the reverse.
