Back-to-back World Series champions in 1992 and 1993, the Toronto Blue Jays set an American League attendance record in 1993 that has now been surpassed. The first team in league history to eclipse the 4 million attendance mark in a season, achieved in 1991, the Blue Jays set the league record two seasons later, with 4,057,947, averaging just over 50,000 per game. This trophy was presented to team coach Gene Tenace for the Blue Jays record-setting attendance. Designed by Jostens - with their company sticker affixed to the underside, the silver ball and cap motif with jubilant fans has a plaque with "Gene Tenace" over the base, and a medallion with "American League All-Time Attendance Record", "4,057,947" and "1993 World Champions" within the cap. The trophy appears to have been cracked and repaired on the lower reverse, and currently displays beautifully.
