No stranger to wearing the blue and white colours of his birth country, Mats Naslund would suit up for Team Sweden at numerous international tournaments throughout his fruitful career, including at the IIHF World Junior Championships, IIHF World Championships, Canada Cup and Olympic Games. Helping Sweden to World Championship gold in 1991 and a pair of Olympic medals, including bronze at 1980 Lake Placid and gold in 1994 at Lillehammer, offered here is this Team Sweden jersey worn by Naslund during the 1981 IIHF World Championships where Sweden won the silver medal on home soil. A combination knit and mesh construction offering made by Tibas, a brand label and size "6" fly tag is affixed inside the left hip seam while the jersey measures out to roughly a size "50". Decorated over the front of the jersey with a "Tre Kroner" team crest in heat-pressed on vinyl while Naslund's number "15" appears over the sleeves and verso in matching style heat pressed vinyl numerals. Void of a fight strap on the interior and having had "Naslund" spelt out in heat-pressed on yellow vinyl letters across the affixed blue knit nameplate, the jersey shows game-wear via stick marks over the front and both sleeves as well as good board burns, small unrepaired holes and coloured board paint transfers over both sleeves as well. With additional paint transfers and burns over the front and reverse, the jersey hails from Naslund's personal collection and comes with his signed LOA.
Regarding the video-match, the jersey has been video-matched to footage from Sweden's contest against the Soviet Union on April 24th, 1981 that shows the burn mark through the front crest as well as the red coloured board paint transfer alongside the "5" of the right sleeve.
