The 1st overall pick of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Sidney Crosby has played in over 1200 National Hockey League games since his career began, every one of them in the black and gold uniform of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Owning a trophy case that includes numerous awards such as a trio of Stanley Cup championships, a pair of Olympic gold medals, two (2) Art Ross Trophies, two (2) Hart Trophies, and two (2) Conn Smythe Trophies along with many others, offered here is this copy of "Sid the Kid's" 2008-09 Upper Deck Black "Pride of a Nation" card. An elegant looking fixture with an image of Crosby displayed over the right side on the front, silver foil accents are found throughout the front of the card also while a Canadian flag patch has been embedded into the front as well. Signed by Sid underneath the patch with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue, the autograph has been graded as a "10" by Beckett for its effort. Serial numbered "04/25" on the front, the card has been graded by Beckett to the tune of a NM-MT+ 8.5 designation, displaying this over its label at the top of the holder as well as subgrades of Centering 9.5, Corners 8, Edges 9 and Surface 8.5. Housed in a Beckett holder that remains in excellent condition, minor imperfections are present over both sides that are worth mentioning for accuracy.
