The Red Wings joined the Canadiens and Maple Leafs in the Parkhurst lineup for the 1960-61 campaign, a year that saw the Chicago Black Hawks hoist Lord Stanley's Cup at season's end. The first full season to be played in the last decade to feature the Original Six era before expansion, offered here is this near-complete assembly of Parkhurst's 1960-61 season. Including sixty (60) of the sixty-one (61) cards that are found within the checklist and make up a complete set, the group is missing only card #56 of Bill Hicke/Ralph Backstrom/Ab McDonald for completion. Getting into the meat and potatoes of the set with a group of thirteen (13) better cards that includes the likes of 1-Horton (corner dings to the left side corners, residue on the reverse and faint crease at top right corner), 2-Mahovlich (light surface wear and a small scratch at the right side), 3-Bower (creased and surface fading), 20-Howe (crease at the top edge extending down towards the middle and light darkening to the top edge on the reverse), 31-Sawchuk (crease at the left of his blocker that also shows on the reverse), 45-M. Richard (off-center and multiple light/small creases), 46-Geoffrion (faint crease at bottom left), 47-H. Richard (slightly off-center), 48-Harvey (multiple small and light creases), 49-Beliveau (off-center and numerous small creases around the edges), 53-Plante (light corner crease), 59-Geoffrion/Jean Beliveau/Marshall (warping at right border) and 61-Morrison (faint creases), all of the cards in this group show varying light-to-moderate corner wear/dings as well as some border discoloration/toning in addition to what is listed beside each card. For the balance of the set, most of the cards are found to be in the overall low-grade condition state of PR with some ranging up to VG as well for their effort, with majority of the cards showcasing creases and wear to their corners.
