A hard hitting center who was a veteran of 909 National Hockey League games over the course of 15-seasons in the league, Keith Primeau originally drafted 3rd overall by the Philadelphia Flyers at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and a two-time NHL All-Star, would wear the red and white of Team Canada on a handful of occasions between 1996 and 1998, including at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, 1997 and 1998 IIHF World Championships and 1998 Olympic Games. A gold medalist at the 1997 IIHF World Championships, offered here is this practice jersey worn by Primeau at the 2002 Team Canada orientation camp that was held in the lead up to the games. A Nike made offering, A sewn-down Nike label with “58” sizing is affixed to the inner collar along with "Made in Canada" and "IIHF Authentic Collection" identifiers as well while an embroidered swoosh logo appears over the front of the collar and a “Respect” stop sign crest sits atop the reverse neckline. Featuring a tackle twill Hockey Canada team crest, “25” appears over the verso in single white twill with “Primeau” across the upper reverse in matching material. Displaying with no obvious signs of use and remaining in fantastic condition, the jersey was originally sold in May of 2003 as part of a large group of orientation camp jerseys that were accompanied by a Hockey Canada LOA that is not present in this lot.
