Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
The 1st overall pick at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and easily the most hyped prospect to enter the league since Connor McDavid in 2015, Connor Bedard looks to leave his mark on the Windy City club and help them return to their former Stanley Cup glory. Having recorded 40 points through the first 46 games of his National Hockey League career, proudly presented here is this photo-matched stick used by Bedard on during first part of his rookie season in 2023-24. A Sher-Wood made Rekker Legend Pro VR92model twig that features "Bedard #98" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original white LiazardSkins grip over the handle and knob that is finished with a ring of white tape at the bottom as well as the white tape over the blade. Seeing action on March 9th, 2024 against the Washington Capitals and featuring a serial number sticker reading "J013SW2401007" affixed to the backside of the shaft, an AJ Sports authenticity verification hologram affixed to the lower shaft as well, which comes with a COA from the company also. Exhibiting good game-wear throughout, the stick displays with a handful of marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft while the blade tape displays with puck marks over both sides that are particularly heavy along the bottom edge while there is a rip at the top edge on the forehand side worth noting as well. Also showing some dirt to the tape on the backhand side, Bedard has signed over the forehand side of the lower shaft and heel with a deep red marker ink signature that displays without issue, having added the inscription "Rookie Season Game Used" alongside it as well. Regarding the photo-match, the stick is matched with Getty Image #2064218893 (March 9th, 2024 vs Washington) to the puck marks over the forehand side of the blade tape.
