Skating for just the Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers throughout his long HOF career which included two separate stints in Alberta, Kevin Lowe was a seven-time All-Star and six-time Stanley Cup champion. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020 and playing 217 games over the course of four (4) seasons in the bright lights of Manhattan as a member of the fabled Blueshirts, offered here is this Rangers jersey worn by Lowe in pre-season competition during the mid-1990s. A heavy mesh garment made by CCM, brand, size "54" and Gerry Cosby's tagging are all affixed to the inner collar of the blue coloured garment while the logos of both CCM and the NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with "Rangers" going diagonally down the chest from right-to-left in individually applied drop-shadow blue-over-red letters, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Lowe's number "4" in numerals of matching style while "Lowe" is spelt out in matching heat pressed letters across an affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, something the Rangers were known to do on pre-season jerseys of this era. Exhibiting overall light-to-moderate but good game-wear, stick marks are present over the left side of the body and both sleeves while team repairs, totaling five (5), are present over both sleeves as well. Also sporting light pilling on the interior and evidence of a removed letter over the left breast with some residue/yellowing observed still, the jersey is accompanied by a Rangers LOA and MeiGray COR.
