A product of the heavyweight Boston University Terries hockey program where he helped the school to an NCAA National Championship in 1995, Chris Drury, drafted 72nd overall by the Quebec Nordiques at the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Chris Drury would go on to play a total of 892 games in the National Hockey League, wearing the uniforms of Colorado, Calgary, Buffalo and New York over that time. the Calder Memorial Trophy winner in 1999 and a Stanley Cup champion in 2001, Drury has also won a pair of silver medals at the Winter Olympic Games, representing the red, white and blue of Team USA in 2002 and 2010. Offered here, we present this Avalanche jersey donned by Drury during the 1999-2000 season. A mesh construction offering made by Pro Player, a brand label that carries an "Authentic Collection" designation is affixed to the inner collar along with a fly tag that showcases size "54" and "Made in Canada" notations as well. Displaying the logos of both Pro Player and the NHL that have been embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with an Avalanche team crest that features embroidered details throughout while matching alternate logo patches have been added over both shoulders. Featuring the NHL2000 patch that was worn by all the leagues teams throughout the course of the season over the right breast, the sleeves and verso have had Drury's number "37" sewn to them in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, with "Drury" having been spelt out in single layer white tackle twill letters across the affixed matching and arching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Displaying with excellent game-wear throughout and having had the sleeves both shortened/taken in to Drury's liking, battle scars are observed via board burns, small unrepaired holes and stick marks over both sleeves and front while stick marks also appear over the reverse as well. With additional wear found through a red coloured board paint transfer mark on the edge of the patch that graces the right shoulder, the interior of the jersey, retaining its original fight strap, shows fraying around the elbow reinforcements and reverse hem.
