Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
An All-Star for six consecutive seasons with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and named the National League MVP for 1949, Jackie Robinson was also a World Series champion during his short but important career, and began his rise to stardom in the Negro leagues. A historically important signature, this 1961 Advancement Through Service program has been signed by the legendary player. At just under 6" x 9", the 8-page program has been signed on the first page by Robinson in ballpoint, with a personalization of "To Ship and Larry". The program exhibits heavy toning to the covers, and light toning to the interior pages. The program is JSA certified with a sticker numbered "B92995" affixed to the back cover, but there is no JSA LOA accompanying.
