Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
The inaugural battle between the established NFL and upstart AFL, Super Bowl I took place on Jan 15, 1967. First billed as the "supergame", the NFL retained it's perceived dominance, with the Green Bay Packers defeating the Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 35–10. We offer a gold variation ticket stub for Super Bowl I graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, along with a Lambeau Field press pass for an Aug 27, 1966 preseason Bishop's Charity match between Green Bay and Pittsburgh. First, the Super Bowl I stub is just under 2 3/4" x 5 1/2", with the date, venue and $12.00 ticket price listed along with "World Championship Game" and "AFL-NFL". There is a small crease to the top left corner, with the stub otherwise displaying nicely, with a few scratches to the PSA holder to note. The press pass shows just light wear, with the original tie string attached.
