Regarded as the greatest international hockey series the game has ever had the privilege of showcasing to fans, the famed 1972 Summit Series pitting Canada and its National Hockey League stars against the Soviet Union and its high-flying "amateur" players who were tops in the international game was the first of its kind. With all Canadians old enough to remember the moment that Paul Henderson won the series with 34 seconds left in the eighth and series deciding game, offered here, we present this trio of ticket stubs from games 5, 6 and 7 as well as a full ticket from the series deciding game 8 that featured Henderson's legendary goal. With all four (4) included artifacts being the green variation offerings from the games that were hosted by the Soviet Union behind the Iron Curtain at the Luzhniki Ice Palace in Moscow, each has been torn over the left side in various ways. All showing the date of game, seat information and price with an arena seating chart over the reverse, the stubs from game 5 and 6 each both fairly white while the stub from game 7 is toned. All graded by PSA both the game 5 and 6 stubs have been assessed marks of PR 1 for their efforts while the game 7 example displays a GOOD 2 (MK) designation with handwritten pen notations on the bottom edge of the reverse. Also including a graded full stub from the famed 8th and final game that displays well and displays the same information as the other three (3) with moderate even toning throughout, PSA has graded it with a mark of FR 1.5, making it a POP 2 example that is bested by only one (1) graded higher, a VG 3. With all the holders found to be in excellent condition with just light scratches over all of the included examples, the game 8 holder has been signed by Team Canada hero Paul Henderson over the front with a thin black marker ink signature that displays without issue.
