Representing the Fédération d’Escrime du Québec, Fleurette Campeau was a Canadian foil fencer who won bronze in the team foil at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. Six years later Campeau was part of the Canadian foil team at her home Olympics in Montréal in 1976. We offer Campeau's 1976 Montreal Olympics opening ceremony blazer, official Team Canada blazer, and a Canadian Olympic fencing team blazer from 1975. First, the opening ceremony blazer is solid red, with a Team Canada Olympic rings chain-stitched crest to the left breast, and Simpson-Sears Olympic team label to the back collar. Next, the team blazer is also solid red, with a patch to the left breast similar to the opening ceremony jacket, with the original three Olympic buttons intact (there is some very minor and faint staining over the lower left). Lastly, the fencing team blazer is a red and white checker pattern, with the same patch as the opening ceremony blazer except it has "1975" instead of "1976", and with the Olympic rings, it most likely hails from the Games. It has a Burtmar Clothes label over the inner right side along with a tag with "Fencing" and "Fleurette Campeau 1975". All three blazers remain in excellent condition including the inner liners.
