The first NHL expansion club to defeat an Original Six team, occurring in just the sixth game in franchise history vs Chicago, the Pittsburgh Penguins played their first NHL game at home, on October 11, 1967, with league president Clarence Campbell and state senator Jack McGregor jointly dropped the ceremonial first puck vs the Montreal Canadiens. Having gone on to hoist Lord Stanley's coveted cup a total of (5) times in their franchise history with some of the best players in the game's history wearing their colours, including Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, Jaromir Jagr, Evgeni Malkin and Marc-Andre Fleury among others, offered here is this lot consisting of Penguins milestone game and program collection of ten (10) that dates from 1991 to 2023. Starting with the tickets, measuring between 3 1/2" x 2" and 5 1/2" x 2" at its smallest and largest with some in between, included are examples from; 1) May 15th, 1991 vs Minnesota (1st Stanley Cup Finals game in franchise history), 2) March 26th, 1996 vs St. Louis (Lemieux scores 5 goals and 2 assists in the only game played between Lemieux and Gretzky when Wayne was a member of the Blues - one of Mario's assists was the 800th of his NHL career), 3) December 27th, 2000 vs Toronto (Mario's "comeback game" - Lemieux scores 1 goal and 2 assists), 4) April 17th, 2006 vs New York (Sidney Crosby scores the 100th point of his young NHL career, becoming the youngest player in NHL history to record 100 points in a season), 5) October 18th, 2006 vs New Jersey (Evgeni Malkin's 1st career NHL game - records his 1st career goal and point during the game) and 6) April 2nd, 2023 vs Philadelphia (Kris Letang's 1000th career NHL game). All remaining in good condition with overall light wear observed throughout the group, which is a mix of full tickets and stubs, also included with the tickets are the matching programs from the games on 1) December 27th, 2000, 2) April 17th, 2006 and 3) October 18th, 2006 as well as 4) February 16th, 2017, which was the night that Crosby recorded the 1000th point of his NHL career. All four (4) programs are in overall good condition with light handling wear observed throughout.
