Playing seven (7) of his sixteen (16) years in the National Hockey League with his hometown team, the Montreal Canadiens, Stephane Quintal would post 115 points in 507 games played with the famed bleu, blanc et rouge over two (2) separate stints with the club. Serving as the NHL's senior vice president of player safety from 2014 to 2016, offered here is this Canadiens softball jersey worn by Quintal during charity summer ball tournaments held all around the province during his first stint with the club in the mid-1990s. A classic pinstriped button down offering that sports a label affixed to the inner collar, the size is faded from numerous washings over the years but measurements indicate the piece as being roughly a size "52". Decorated over the front with a classic "Canadiens" script in tri-layer tackle twill construction that has had "Montreal" embroidered into the tail, a Canadiens "CH" logo is embroidered over the left breast. Having had a Reebok logo patch added over the right sleeve, a Molson Export logo is embroidered into the left one while Quintal's number "5" appears over the front and reverse in dual layer blue-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having had a nameplate with "Quintal" spelt out in screened on blue letters added over the top of the reverse, the jersey remains in excellent condition with light wear observed via some spot stains throughout, heaviest over the hem line on both sides, while the "L" in "Quintal" is peeling up a bit.
