A member of the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame, with his 28 Olympic games-played a record among Russian national team players, Darius Kasparaitis enjoyed an especially lengthy NHL career, with numerous seasons spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders while also enjoying stints with the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers as well. A three-time Olympic medalist and a veteran of 863 National Hockey League games, offered here is this SKA St. Petersburg jersey worn by Kasparaitis during the KHL's inaugural season of 2008-09. Made by Kait Sport, a brand label as well as a size "52" fly tag is affixed to the inner collar while a KHL league patch has been added over the bottom of the collar on the front. Decorated over the front with an SKA St. Petersburg team crest that has been sublimated into the material of the jersey, stars are found sublimated into the material over the front reverse and both sleeves while the logos of Russian energy company, Gazprom, are found over the reverse and both shoulders. Having had additional sponsorship patches for Megafon added over both sleeves, Kasparaitis' number "19" has been sublimated into the material of the sleeves and verso while "Kasparaitis" is spelt out in sublimated white Cyrillic letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Of note, there is also evidence of a removed alternate captain's "A" patch over the left breast. Exhibiting light game-wear, numerous fabric pulls and pills are found throughout the sleeves and body while pilling is present on the interior. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by Kasparaitis will accompany the piece.
