Traditionally one of the most collected promotions by hobbyists, Bee Hive issued hockey player pictures for three decades. This lot offers a number of items associated with the promotion, mostly made up of checklists. For all that is present, included is a Group II checklist with hockey ring promotion ad (not marked over the reverse), five (5) undated Group I checklists (two different variations - one of them has "Feb 1939" written to the top of it in pencil), one (1) Group I checklist that is dated 1939-1940, seven (7) Group I checklists that are dated 1940-1941 (three marked up including one on the reverse, one taped to a scrapbook page, one heavily worn/ripped, others stained in various ways), six (6) Group I checklists that are dated 1941-1942 (four marked up - all are a faded pink colour), three (3) Group II checklists that are dated 1948-1949 (one pink and two blue - one of the blue ones more worn than the other two), one (1) Group II checklist dated November 10th, 1951 (marked up), one (1) Group II checklist dated November 10th, 1952 (marked up), one (1) Group II checklist dated October 20th, 1953 (marked up), one (1) Group II checklist dated January 17th, 1957, four (4) Group II checklists dated November 1st, 1962 (all marked up - one having had "We expect to have the new pictures in about 10 days to two weeks) typed in red over the top), one (1) Group II checklist dated November 1st, 1963 (marked up), three (3) Group III checklists dated November 1st, 1964 (all marked up), two (2) Group III checklists dated December 6th, 1965 (both marked up) and finally, three (3) Group III checklists dated December 1st, 1966 (all marked up). Most of the items show light wear while some show heavier wear via stains, tears, creasing/folds and of course pen/pencil markings.
