Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, offered here is this quartet of Howe cards that date between 1968-69 and 1970-71. All displaying posed images of the man affectionately known as "Mr. Hockey" over their fronts while wearing his Detroit Red Wings uniform, the group includes the main series O-Pee-Chee releases from 1968-69, 1969-70 and 1970-71 as well as the "Mr. Hockey" commemorative card that was released as part of the 1969-70 OPC set also. All having been just returned from inspection and encapsulation by the professionals at PSA, the 1968-69 and 1970-71 offerings have both earned marks of EX-MT 6 respectively while the remain pair of cards have been assessed marks of VG-EX 4 over their labels.
