Just the third goaltender in NHL history to reach 500 wins after Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur, Marc-Andre Fleury debuted for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003-04 and spent over a dozen seasons in Pennsylvania as a member of the Penguins, winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships with the organization that drafted him 1st overall at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. A Vezina Trophy and William M. Jennings Trophy winner in 2021 as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights, Fleury has also represented his home country of Canada on numerous occasions, including at the 2003 and 2004 IIHF World Junior Championships where he helped Canada to back-to-back silver medals and at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver as the third goalie on Canada's gold medal winning squad. A surefire future Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, offered here is this glove and blocker set used by Fleury as a member of the Penguins during the 2010-11 season. Both Reebok made Revoke PZ model gloves that have had "Rinne" identifiers embroidered into them via black coloured thread, both pieces of equipment are done up in an all white colourway with sewn on white weave style graphics. Featuring a simple white lace pocket that has been darkened by numerous pucks and Reebok logos over the faces of both gloves, both pieces show excellent game-use via numerous puck marks over each as well as sweat staining and soiling, red post paint transfers and spots of fraying to the edges or surface that is heaviest on the glove at the bottom of the palm and at the bottom edge of the blocker. Additionally, the blocker palm shows no holes. With all the strapping and lacing in good condition and fully functional, both glove and blocker have been photo-matched with Getty Image #105650756 (October 7th, 2010 vs Philadelphia) to numerous puck marks observed over each piece.
For the bag, an oversized one designed to hold a full set of goalie equipment, the canvas construction sack is largely black in colour with sport gold accents and handles over both ends and sides. Displaying Penguins logos over both sides of the piece, an empty identification slot is seen over the top on one side. Showing good use with numerous marks and abrasions but void of any major flaws to make mention of, the zippers remain fully operational.
