A veteran of 647 National Hockey League games after being drafted 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in 1985, Bill Ranford would suit up for Boston, Edmonton, Washington, Tampa Bay and Detroit over the course of his NHL career, capturing Stanley Cup championships with the Oilers in 1988 and 1990 as a player and in 2012 and 2014 as the goalie coach of the Los Angeles Kings. Named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner in 1990 and the Canada Cup MVP in 1991, offered here is this Tampa Bay Lightning jersey worn by Ranford during his lone year with the club in 1998-99. Made by CCM and featuring a "Goalie Style" label affixed to the inner collar as well as a ripped out size tag, the jersey measures out to roughly a size "60" and has had the logos of both CCM and the NHL embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Lightning team crest that features embroidered and textured details, matching alternate logo patches have been placed atop of both shoulders and the 1999 NHL All-Star Game crest, an event hosted by Tampa Bay, has been added over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Ranford's number "30" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Ranford" is spelt out in matching style letters that have been placed in an arch across the affixed matching nameplate over the upper reverse. Signed by Ranford through the middle of the crest on the front with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some very light bleeding and fading, the jersey itself shows just light evidence of game-wear via a small puck mark and red post paint transfer mark over the right cuff while a few scattered board burn like marks are present over the right elbow area. A Lightning COA will accompany the lot.
