The 68th overall pick of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers, Tony Amonte would go on to play a total of 17-years in the National Hockey League after a pair of seasons with the Boston University Terriers, wearing the colours of the Rangers, Blackhawks, Coyotes, Flyers and Flames along the way and being named to five (5) NHL All-Star Games. Also having represented the United States of America on numerous occasions throughout his career, winning gold at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and silver at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, offered here is this Rangers pre-season/training camp jersey worn by Amonte in the era of the early-1990s. An Air-Knit constuction offering made by CCM, a brand label that displays a size "XXL" designation is affixed to the inner collar while a heat-pressed on CCM logo appears over the reverse hem. A retail level jersey that the Rangers are known to have utilized in pre-season/training camp, the garment is decorated over the front with the familiar "Rangers" in screened-on red-over-white drop-shadow letters while Amonte's number "33" appears over the sleeves in matching style. Of note, "33" appears over the reverse as well in simple screened-on white numbers that show damage and flaking. Having had "Amonte" spelt out in matching style letters that have been heat-pressed on across the affixed blue mesh at the top of the reverse, the interior of the jersey shows a sewn in fight strap and pilling. Also exhibiting heavy pilling over the front as well as around the hem line and both cuffs, the jersey shows additional use via a large repair on the upper part of the right sleeve, board burns over both sleeves, stick marks over the lower front and unrepaired holes over the lower front as well. An LOA will accompany the piece.
