Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
The second Major League Baseball team to call the great white north of Canada home, the Toronto Blue Jays would be the first Canadian team to win the World Series and bring it north of the border, doing so in back-to-back seasons of 1992 and 1993 on the backs of timely hitting and shut down pitching over the course of 162 regular season games and playoff match ups with the best teams in baseball at the time. Offered here, we present this pair of Toronto Blue Jays 1992 and 1993 team-signed bats. Full length Cooper Pro 100 and Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick model bats that measure out to 35" and 33" respectively, both bats remain in excellent condition overall with just light handle wear and marks throughout. For the Cooper bat, signed by names such as Pat Borders, Alfredo Giffin, Joe Carter, Ed Sprague, Jack Morris, Pat Hentgen, Juan Guzman, John Olerud, Al Leiter, Cito Gaston, Rickey Henderson and others while the Rawlings bat features the signatures of Joe Carter, Pat Borders, Dave Winfield, David Wells, Juan Guzman, Jimmy Key, Kelly Gruber, Cito Gaston, Ton Henke, Ed Sprague, Dave Steib, John Olerud, Jack Morris, Bob Bailor and others. All having been signed in blue marker ink and displaying well overall, the autographs on the Cooper bat display better than those on the Rawlings, which show some fading. A JSA Auction LOA will accompany the lot.
