Released during a season in which Major League Baseball celebrated their 100th anniversary, the "Miracle Mets" of New York would be victorious over the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series and the league would expand north of the border as "Les Expos" would begin play in the City of Montreal, the 1969 Topps and O-Pee-Chee baseball card sets would feature checklists of 664 and 218-cards respectively with each sharing the same design. Offered here, we present this grouping of cards from both releases that includes over ninety (90+) Topps examples and over eighty-five (85+) O-Pee-Chee offerings. Starting with the Topps cards, found to be largely in the overall condition range of GOOD with a few much worse off, key cards include those of 370-Marichal (GOOD - corner and surface wear), 400-Drysdale (PR - paper loss at bottom left), 425-Yastrzemski AS (G to VG - corner wear), 428-Brock AS (G to VG - top left corner ding and off-center), 430-Bench AS (GOOD - crease, corner wear and off-center), 450-WIlliams (GOOD - corner wear/damage and completely off-center), 480-Seaver (VG to VG-EX - corner wear), 485-Perry (FR to G - stain at bottom border) and 510-Carew (FR to G - crease, surface dent and corner wear). For the O-Pee-Chee cards, found to be in the overall average condition range of VG with some worse off throughout, present are the notable cards of 95-Bench (GOOD - factory crease and corner wear), 100-Aaron (G to VG - surface wear, off-center and corner wear), 175-Bunning (VG to VG-EX - 80-20 centering) and 216-Sutton (GOOD - small crease at top left).
