Originally drafted 122nd overall by the New Jersey Devils at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Chris Mason would go on to play in 317 National Hockey League contests over the course of his career, suiting up with Nashville, St. Louis, Atlanta and Winnipeg. A product of the Prince George Cougars of the WHL who won a gold medal with Canada at the 2007 IIHF World Championships, offered here is this game-stick of Mason's from his first season as a member of the St. Louis Blues in 2008-09 that has been signed by approximately 21 members of that years Blues squad. A Sher-Wood SOP 9950 model twig done up in white and blue, the "Mason" stamp over the shaft has been scratched off. Showing a tape job of white over the handle/knob and blade that differs from what Mason is seen using in photos from that season, the stick is simply being offered as a game-stick of his. Riddled with puck marks throughout both sides of the stick though heaviest on the forehand side, light red post paint transfer marks are found on the reverse side of the upper shaft and a large dent is seen to the wood of the shaft as well. Sporting an additional pair of small chips to the edges of the shaft as well and some graphics wear over both sides of the paddle, the stick has been signed over the forehand side of the paddle by approximately 21 members of the 2008-09 Blues including Hinote, Mason, Perron, Legace, Backes, King, Oshie, Woywitka, Polák, Strachan, McDonald, Weaver, Janssen, Colaiacovo, Tkachuk, Jackman and others. All signed with blue marker ink, the autographs remain in good condition with only light fading exhibited from age and are all largely in a legible state. Additionally, a notation reading "St. Louis Blues 2008-09" is penned over the blade tape in black marker ink as well.
