Enjoying a lengthy career that included winning three Stanley Cup championships throughout his 19 NHL seasons, Marian Hossa also represented Slovakia at every international level, with enshrinement to the HOF occurring in 2020. Playing a total of 467 games in the uniform of the Ottawa Senators between 1997 and 2004, offered here is this stick used by Hossa that was acquired by our consignor after a Senators practice in Los Angles during the 1999-2000 season when the club was on their West Coast road trip. Actually a stick owned by Hosea's teammate Magnus Arvedson the Canadien CW50 model twig features Arvedson's original black cloth finished with white tape job over the shaved handle while now aged white is found wrapped around the blade. With the stick void of any Arvedson identifiers but displaying Hosea's number "18" penned to the handle tape in black marker ink, it is unclear as to why Hossa was using the stick as he was known for using composite and not wood. Exhibiting use via various marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft and a chip on the backside of the lower shaft, the blade tape displays puck marks over both sides and has been signed on the forehand side by Hossa with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue.
